Trading Plan Results/Outcome
Mon 03/25: No trade
The S&P 500 Index did not break below the 2810 level during today’s session. Hence, no trades were triggered for the day.

Trading Plans/Forecast Published Monday Morning – Aggressive Intraday Models
“For today, Monday 03/25, our aggressive intraday models indicate going short on a break below 2810 or 2805 or 2798 with an 8-point trailing stop, and going long on a break above 2818 with an 8-point trailing stop.”
Trading Plan Results/Outcome:
The index broke below 2805 level at 9:40am ET, triggering a short position with an 8-point trailing stop. The index reached an interim low of 2785.34 around 10:15am, taking the stop trigger down to 2793.34. The stop trigger was hit around 10:30am, closing the position with a gain of 11.66 index points.
The index again broke below the 2805 level at 11:40 am, triggering another short position with an 8-point trailing stop. The index reached an interim low at 2791.67 around 12:45 pm, taking the stop trigger down to 2799.67. The stop trigger was hit around 1:00pm, closing the position with a gain of 5.33 index points.
The index broke below the 2798 level at 1:20 pm, triggering the third short position at 1:20pm. The short rode to the session low of 2785.02 around 2:30pm, taking the stop trigger down to 2793.02. The stop trigger was hit at 2:55 pm, closing the position with a gain of 4.98 index points.
Thus, the models booked a net gain of 21.97 (+11.66 +5.33 +4.98) index points on three shorts.

NOTE: Remember that a “trailing stop” works differently from the traditional stop-loss order. Please bear in mind that the trailing stop’s trigger level would keep changing throughout the session (click here to read on the conceptual workings of a trailing-stop).
